Pet Diagnostic Imaging
Why Pet Diagnostic Imaging is Important:
Radiographs (X-Rays) are an important diagnostic tool in verterinary medicine. Heart disease, orthopedic / spinal problems, ingestion of a gastrointestinal foreign body, tumors, and urinary stones in the bladder all can be diagnosed with radiographs. Court Street Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer instant digital radiography. The advantages to digital radiology are efficiency, improved image quality and ease of transmitting radiographs to board certified specialists for consultation. We enjoy showing you the radiographs from our system, and if you have any questions please ask. We can now offer board certified radiologist consultations on any radiograph through advances in telemedicine; you can have a second specialist’s opinion without ever having to leave Keene!
Why Animal Ultrasounds are Important:
Ultrasound is a diagnostic tool used to non-invasively examine organ system. Ultrasound can be used to diagnose specific heart diseases in your pets, diseases of the liver and spleen. It’s an excellent tool to investigate the presence of cancerous masses within the abdomen. We routinely use our ultrasound for guided and sterile urine sample collection (cystocentesis). Ultrasound can also be used to confirm pregnancy and assess fetal health.
