Court Street Vet is passionate about supporting the education of our future colleagues, and is thrilled to announce our ‘Pathways to Veterinary Medicine’ rolling four-week paid internship position.  We are so excited to partner with the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (VLACS) and the NH Department of Education for their Work! As Learning program.

Who's a Good Fit?

Energetic High School students who are self-motivated, reliable, and compassionate are welcome to apply for this opportunity & join us to learn more about a career in Veterinary Medicine. Students will have the opportunity to work directly with Veterinary Nurses, Doctors, and Administrators to gain exposure to this profession & learn more about the many different career paths that exist in this field.

Earn High School Credit While You Work!

We partnered with the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (VLACS) to offer high school students the opportunity to earn credit by completing hands-on job training.

To earn high school credit, you will perform the tasks you are assigned on the job while meeting VLACS’s course requirements with the support of an instructor.

How Does it Work?

ONE:

Meet the applicable competencies within the course offering.

TWO:

Complete your learning through both the Work! as Learning experience and the VLACS curriculum.

THREE:

Receive a VLACS transcript showing completed competencies, credit earned, and a digital badge to acknowledge your achievement. 

What Does it Cost?

VLACS is free to New Hampshire residents in high school.

What are the Next Steps?

ONE:

Got to the VLACS Learning Catalog and choose an offering that can be taken as an experience, such as Job Shadow or Micro-Internship.

TWO:

Check with your school to confirm that the VLACS credit will be accepted. VLACS is an approved diploma-granting NH public school and works with high schools throughout the state.

THREE:

Create a VLACS Student Account, and enroll in the experience learning offering.
